ABATE stands for American Bikers Aimed Towards Education. There is approximately 3400 members in ABATE of New York Inc. at this time, and many thousands more nation wide. We are not a Motorcycle Club, but rather a Not for Profit 501c4 Educational Corporation. ABATE of New York Inc. was formed in 1974 and Incorporated in 1980. Each member receives an embroidered patch, a yearly membership card, year pins, a state wide newsletter published bi-monthly and a Chapter newsletter published monthly. Both State & Chapter Newsletters have calendars of motorcycle rides, events, Chapter Meetings, rides, parties, friendship and assistance. Chapter Patches are available. We don't all ride Motorcycles, but do share the interest. 

OUR MAIN PURPOSE

 

The Main purpose of the ABATE organization is to promote motorcycle safety, to work toward freedom of the road by  insuring that motorcyclists point of view is presented to our legislators and Rider Education and Motorcycle Awareness. We encourage all riders to be informed registered voters and to contact our elected officials and to stay aware of what is going on with motorcycle Safety, Legislation and Education.
